The rating listed the key factors for creating a favorable investment climate in Russia and assessed the tourist attractiveness of 11 regions of the country. The first place in the rating was taken by the Krasnodar Territory, and the last — by the Kamchatka Territory.

The trend of constant growth was interrupted when the world faced an unprecedented challenge – the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2015-2019, the industry experienced steady growth due to the influence of a strong global economy (the number of foreign tourists grew by an average of 5% per year). The highest growth rate of this indicator was registered in 2017 (+7%).
